The Cyclist

You know how the New York Times Magazine will post a cartoon and ask people to put a caption on that?  Here’s an idea: what’s your caption for this drawing?  Or what story does it remind you of?  I know my story… curious to know what else this might spark out there.  Let me know and I might post it.  Also, let me know if you want to be anonymous or not.

  1. Sacred solitude.

  2. I’m reminded of this quote from Ernest Hemingway. I can’t find the exact source but it’s from his dispatches to the Toronto Star: “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.”
